Buzz-o-sonic was used to measure the Young's moduli of filled cyanite and epoxy resins at 77K. The filler materials were chopped S-2 glass fibers and ceramic microspheres. The work was conducted at BuzzMac International, LLC on behalf of MultiPhase Composites, LLC. The results along with more work conducted at Multiphase Composites were presented by John and Abigail Rice in a paper called "Young's Modulus and Thermal Expansion of FIlled Cyanate Ester and Epoxy Resins," presented at the Applied Superconductivity Conference, Chicago IL August 2008.

The Young's modulus results are shown below.

E vs T

DGEBA = Diglycidyl Ether of Bisphenol A) epoxide chains
DGEBA + AE = 70% DGEBA with 30% Alkylglycidyl Ether (AE)
CE = Cyanate Ester
Filler material = chopped S-2 glass fiber and ceramic microspheres
